About the author
Merlin Sheldrake is a British biologist and writer whose research and public work focus on fungi, symbiosis, ecology, and the concepts used to describe relationships among organisms. He received a doctorate in tropical ecology from the University of Cambridge.
Entangled Life ranges from mycorrhizal networks and lichens to yeast, truffles, psychedelics, decomposition, and fungal materials. Sheldrake uses experiments and fieldwork to challenge familiar boundaries between individual, partner, and environment.
