Louise Penny

Louise Penny is a Canadian crime writer best known for the Chief Inspector Armand Gamache novels. Before publishing fiction she worked as a journalist and radio host for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation.

The series is centred on the fictional Quebec village of Three Pines but regularly expands into questions of policing, public institutions, friendship, and moral responsibility. The Grey Wolf and The Black Wolf form a closely connected late-series investigation.
