Don Norman is an American cognitive scientist, design researcher, professor, and former technology executive. His work helped popularise human-centred design and a vocabulary for understanding how objects communicate possible actions.
The Design of Everyday Things grew from The Psychology of Everyday Things. Norman has also written about emotional design, complex systems, technology, and the responsibility of design beyond the immediate user interaction.
