Terry Pratchett was an English fantasy author best known for Discworld, a long comic series whose flat planet supports satire of institutions, work, belief, technology, and the stories people use to make society function.
The Light Fantastic continues the earliest Rincewind adventure. Mort establishes Death as a central character, while Going Postal belongs to the later books, where public institutions and commercial power receive a sharper but still generous comedy.
