Stephen Graham Jones is a Blackfeet American novelist, professor, and short-story writer whose large body of work spans horror, crime, experimental fiction, and literary criticism. He often examines genre from within Indigenous histories and contemporary life.
The Only Good Indians, My Heart Is a Chainsaw, and later novels made him a central figure in contemporary horror. The Buffalo Hunter Hunter uses vampire testimony and a pastor's diary to carry the violence of the Marias Massacre across generations.
