About the author
Robert Silverberg is an American science-fiction writer and editor whose long career includes novels, short fiction, anthologies, and nonfiction. His work has received multiple Hugo and Nebula Awards, and he was named an SFWA Grand Master.
For The Positronic Man, Silverberg expanded Isaac Asimov's novella The Bicentennial Man into a novel. The collaboration preserves Asimov's problem while giving Andrew's two-century pursuit of personhood more social and emotional space.
