AUTHOR

Robert Greene

American author of books on strategy, power, and human behaviour (born 1959).

About the author

Robert Greene is an American author whose books use historical anecdotes, biographies, and strategic maxims to examine power, seduction, conflict, mastery, and motivation. He studied classical literature and worked in several fields before publishing his first book.

The 48 Laws of Power established his method: a compact rule followed by examples of observance, transgression, interpretation, and reversal. The books are often read both as advice and as field guides to tactics other people may use.

Where to start

Start with The 48 Laws of Power for Greene's core method, or Mastery for a less adversarial study of apprenticeship and long-term skill.
