About the author
Pierce Brown is an American novelist best known for the Red Rising series. His science fiction combines Roman political imagery, caste hierarchy, military campaigns, and a first-person hero repeatedly forced to reconsider the means of revolution.
The original trilogy follows Darrow from the mines beneath Mars into the Gold ruling class and then into open war. Later books continue the consequences from a wider set of viewpoints rather than treating regime change as the end of the political story.
Where to start
Start with Red Rising, then read Golden Son and Morning Star in order for the complete opening trilogy.
