About the author
Pat Barker is an English novelist whose early books centered working-class women's lives and whose Regeneration trilogy examined soldiers, doctors, memory, and authority during the First World War. The Ghost Road, the trilogy's final volume, won the Booker Prize.
Her Women of Troy novels return to war through Briseis and the captive women surrounding the Greek camp. The series begins with The Silence of the Girls, continues with The Women of Troy, and concludes with The Voyage Home.
