About the author
Min Jin Lee is a Korean-American novelist and journalist who moved from Seoul to the United States as a child. She studied history at Yale and law at Georgetown before turning to writing.
Her fiction examines migration, class, work, family, and the experience of Koreans in Japan and the United States. Pachinko follows four generations, keeping national history visible through the domestic decisions by which families survive it.
