About the author
Khaled Hosseini is an Afghan-American novelist and former physician. His fiction follows family loyalty, guilt, exile, and return across Afghan history, giving political upheaval its weight through relationships that began long before it.
Years later, a call from Baba's old friend Rahim Khan offers Amir a way to confront what happened. Hosseini moves between the remembered Kabul of childhood, immigrant life in America, and an Afghanistan transformed by violence and Taliban rule.
Where to start
