About the author
Kate Quinn is an American novelist known for historical fiction centred on women whose work, friendships, and political roles have been underrepresented in conventional accounts. She studied classical voice at Boston University.
Her novels range from ancient Rome and Renaissance Italy to the world wars and the Cold War. The Alice Network, The Rose Code, The Diamond Eye, and The Briar Club combine ensemble storytelling with research into espionage, codebreaking, resistance, and domestic life.
