About the author
Hernan Diaz is an Argentine-American novelist who grew up in Argentina and Sweden before settling in the United States. His fiction uses historical forms to examine distance, wealth, language, identity, and the authority granted to a compelling document.
In the Distance follows a Swedish immigrant moving through the nineteenth-century American West. Trust uses four conflicting texts about a financier and his wife, and shared the 2023 Pulitzer Prize for Fiction.
