About the author
Eliot Brown is an American journalist who covers startups and venture capital for The Wall Street Journal. Earlier reporting on commercial real estate placed him close to WeWork before its private valuation and public image began to unravel.
With Maureen Farrell, Brown reported the company's rise and failed public offering, then expanded that work into The Cult of We. The book treats founder mythology and investor incentives as parts of the same business story.
Where to start
Start with The Cult of We, co-written with Maureen Farrell, for a reported account of WeWork, Adam Neumann, and the financial culture that supported them.
