About the author
Eliezer Yudkowsky is an American writer and co-founder of the Machine Intelligence Research Institute. His work has focused on decision theory, rationality, and arguments that highly capable artificial intelligence could be impossible to align with human survival.
He wrote the online sequences later collected as Rationality: From AI to Zombies and, with Nate Soares, If Anyone Builds It, Everyone Dies, a deliberately uncompromising statement of their existential-risk case.
