About the author
Chris Voss is an American author and business consultant who spent twenty-four years with the FBI, including work as its chief international hostage and kidnapping negotiator. After leaving the bureau, he founded the negotiation consultancy Black Swan Group and taught negotiation in university and professional settings.
Never Split the Difference turns case experience into a system built around tactical empathy, labels, mirrors, calibrated questions, and careful listening. Its premise is that useful information appears only after the other person feels the situation has been accurately heard.
Where to start
