About the author
Blake Masters is an American venture capitalist, author, and former political candidate. While studying at Stanford Law School, he published detailed notes from Peter Thiel's 2012 class on startups and later served in leadership roles at Thiel Capital and the Thiel Foundation.
Those lecture notes became Zero to One, co-written with Thiel. The book preserves the course's compact, contrarian form: each chapter takes a familiar assumption about competition, technology, or startup strategy and tries to reverse it.
Where to start
Start with Zero to One, co-written with Peter Thiel. It asks how a startup can create a genuinely new capability and build a position that is difficult to copy.
