Anne Serre is a French novelist and short-story writer whose compact books often combine intimacy, fable, dream logic, humour, and a narrator whose calm voice permits unsettling changes of scale.
Her work translated into English includes The Governesses, The Beginners, Grande tiqueté, and A Leopard-Skin Hat. Mark Hutchinson has translated several of her books.
