Ana Huang

Ana Huang is a Chinese-American writer of contemporary romance and new adult fiction. She was born in the United States to Chinese parents, and her mother first encouraged her to invent stories as a way to practice English. Huang began writing a novel as a teenager and later posted fiction online.

She studied international relations, spent part of college as an exchange student in Shanghai, and worked in press relations for a geopolitical consulting company. Writing remained a parallel career until the pandemic years, when she began self-publishing more steadily and finding readers through TikTok and other online book communities.

The Twisted series turned that audience into a much larger one. Bloom Books republished the novels beginning in 2022, and Huang followed them with the Kings of Sin and Gods of the Game series. The books share social circles across volumes, so a secondary character in one romance may carry the next.

Her plots favor recognizable romance structures—brother's best friend, bodyguard, enemies to lovers, marriage of convenience—but put them under pressure from family loyalty, ambition, secrecy, and money. Twisted Love establishes the pattern: a protective arrangement becomes intimate while both characters are still living inside stories their families have concealed.
