About the author
Aisling Rawle was born in 1998 and raised in County Leitrim in the west of Ireland. She lives in Dublin, where she has worked as a secondary-school English teacher; The Compound is her first novel.
The Compound turns the familiar machinery of reality dating shows into dystopian fiction. Its contestants trade labour, intimacy, and loyalty for food and small luxuries while unseen producers keep changing the rules of survival.
